Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 8 August 2026
This policy sets out what you can and can't do with LetsGetSurfaced. It's part of our Terms of Service, and applies to everyone who uses the Service.
You must not use LetsGetSurfaced to:
- Generate, store or distribute unlawful content, or content that incites violence, hatred or discrimination against any person or group.
- Infringe someone else's intellectual property, including copyright, trade marks or trade secrets.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or systems the Service relies on.
- Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions on the Service.
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk communications through or using the Service.
- Collect or process other people's personal data through the Service in a way that breaches data protection law.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
- Use the Service to facilitate fraud or any other unlawful or deceptive practice.
- Attempt to manipulate or exploit individuals through deceptive or subliminal techniques, or use the Service in any of the ways prohibited under Article 5 of the EU AI Act. None of this has anything to do with what LetsGetSurfaced is built to do, but we prohibit it explicitly all the same.
AI-generated content and transparency
Reports and briefings from LetsGetSurfaced are generated with the help of AI models. If you publish, share, or act on AI-generated content in a context where disclosure is legally required (for example under the EU AI Act's transparency rules, or your own industry's professional standards), that disclosure obligation is yours to meet. We're happy to help you understand what's AI-generated within your own reports if that's useful; we can't make that disclosure decision on your behalf when you take findings outside the product.
What happens if this policy is breached
Depending on the severity, we may warn you, suspend your account, or terminate your subscription, and if we reasonably believe a breach involves illegal conduct, we may report it to the relevant authorities. Where it's practical to do so, we'll tell you what's happened and give you a chance to put it right first.
