About

We got tired of paying for four tools and still not knowing what to do Monday morning.

That was the starting point. Every SEO and AI-visibility tool on the market is happy to hand you a dashboard full of scores and charts, but almost none of them tell you what the numbers mean, or which of the ten problems on the page is actually worth fixing first. So the job of running a site's visibility quietly turns into a second job: hours a week spent interpreting tools instead of acting on them, split across three or four subscriptions that don't talk to each other.

LetsGetSurfaced was built by a marketer who's spent over two decades in marketing and advertising, including work for Fortune 500 and international clients, running organic growth for several brands at once. You probably know the routine: the data sits on four or five platforms, none of them agree, and “what needs my attention this week?” turns into an afternoon of cross-referencing that still ends in an educated guess. This started as a tool to replace that guesswork for one team. Then it became obvious the same problem was everywhere: marketing managers, fractional CMOs and agencies, all doing the same translation work by hand, every single week.

One thing worth being upfront about, because it's the part most tools in this space skip: the easy version of this product would just ask an AI model to “look at your website” and summarise what it finds. Easy to build, and close to worthless: a shallow one-shot glance at a handful of pages, a different answer every time you ask, recommendations that sound plausible but never point at the actual cause. That's not an audit, it's a hunch with good formatting.

So we took the slower route. Every LetsGetSurfaced report starts with an actual crawl of your site, link by link with sitemap discovery, the same way a search engine gets to know it, before any AI model ever gets asked a question. The AI testing sits on top of that real inventory, not instead of it. Slower to build? Definitely. But it's the difference between a suggestion that's a hit-or-miss guess and one that's actually grounded in what's on your pages. We call that Grounded AI Visibility: every recommendation backed by a real crawl of your site, not a guess.

And to be clear: none of this is about replacing marketers. AI visibility moves faster than any team can track by hand, and every hour you spend working out what changed is an hour you don't spend executing, which is where human judgement still matters most. We're here to put the dashboard guessing game to bed: let the tool do the analysis, so your effort goes where it counts. And this is the start, not the finish. We began this journey by building a tool that takes the guesswork out of AI visibility, and we have a roadmap in place to bring the same automated, simplified approach to other areas of marketing.

How Grounded AI Visibility works

01

Crawl

A systematic link-by-link crawl of your site, the same way a search engine builds its picture, respecting robots.txt. Your sitemap gets discovered wherever it lives (robots.txt directives, sitemap.xml, sitemap_index.xml or wp-sitemap.xml, index files included) and checked against the crawl, so unreachable orphan pages get flagged instead of silently missed. Not a sample. Not a homepage-and-a-couple-of-links guess.

02

Test

Real queries a buyer would actually type, run against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, with every answer recorded in the model's own words: mentioned or not, cited or not, and who got named instead. A recorded fact, not a hunch about your brand.

03

Brief

Everything gets synthesised into one weekly verdict: what's working and needs protecting, what's costing you visibility, and what to fix first. Downloadable as a PDF or sent straight to your inbox.

Who's behind it

LetsGetSurfaced is built and run by a small, product-led team: we'd rather spend our time shipping the next thing that saves you an hour than writing a padded “our story” page. If you want to know more about how something works before you trust it with your site, that's exactly what getting in touch is for.
